Even though my hunt was ruined I was happy they were there to protect our area. They caught 55 illegals during my 3 days on the ranch.

he was another BP. At one point there were 6 trucks parked where you see him walking. They were all around me from about 3 until just before dark. At that point the helicopters came out.

Stinks the illegals are messing with your hunting. Good on BP for rounding them up. Unfortunately, they will be "caught and released." Wonder why the Sate of Texas cant prosecute separately for trespassing?

Yep, all over our place as well. Blew a few hunts for us this year but support them 110%. Had a chopper chasing a group for a while & hovered over the blind I was headed to for 45 minutes lol.

Correct me if I am wrong but as of about a week ago didn't the BP start releasing them back to Mexico? Hope so.

They have a hard job, and don't get enough respect! I thank them every time I go through the check point north of the Callaghan Ranch.

George - That is the pipeline markers. The yardage to each is written on the wall in the blind. I don't typically hunt that spot so I could not tell you how far each are.

Almost hate to bring this post back to the top. BUT. For those of you hunting ranches off the county road in Webb Co that runs between I-35 S and I-59 S, Callaghan, Lincoln-Nicholson Rd., be vigilant. We had BP on the ranch AGAIN last Saturday. Had a truck and two guys in our NE corner on our side of the fence. They were gone when BP got there.

Chains on gates are being cut and replaced with bad guy's locks, high-fences cut and mended after they pass to keep from attracting attention. Illegal traffic is at an all-time high. BP calls that area "exotic" because they're catching mostly OTMs. Bangladeshi, Somali, Algerian, Yemeni, Syrian, Chechen mixed in with folks from S of the border. They've caught 530+ in our little slice of heaven over the last month.

Our Border Patrol are some of the baddest hombres I've met. They love their jobs and perform fearlessly. In super harsh conditions. I'll take a few of them into battle with ANY adversary!
