My oldest son wants a wooden recurve. Recommendations without breaking the bank? Thanks

NG look at Samick Sage bows. Amazon has them in a variety of limbs and they are interchangeable. Good beginner bows to see if he really want to stick with it. I have one in a 55 lb, Best of luck

Get on archerytalk and buy a good used bow.

I second the Samick Sage. A dang fine shooting bow and reasonable price. Start off with light limbs and move up as he gets stronger.

Take a look at Martin's also. With the take down you can change the limbs out to what ever draw weight you want. I've got a Martin Jaguar with two sets of limbs. 45 lb and 55 lb.

Yes! A Weatherby does kill them deader.
