I checked with my vet. They don't do the eye tests. Just the hips were $350 a dog. Eye test online was about $100. Does anyone know a vet in the DFW area that charges less?

A certified canine opthomologist has to do the eyes.
I had mine done at the "Animal Eye Clinic" in Ft. Worth. I'm almost positive it was less than $100.
I had OFA x-rays done at my local vet for around $200 for both hips and elbows here in Abilene.
The best in the business for hips and elbows is Dr. Ed Aycock located in Lewisville.

What did the $350 include? sedation, OFA fees, and films? I've done a few OFA films. They can be a pain and usually require multiple attempts to get it right. OFA films are usually charged at a higher rate because there is more time involved in doing the films, paperwork and submission vs a film to look at a problem in house.
There are a few ophthalmologists in DFW. No idea what they charge for the certification. I sent a few to Dallas veterinary specialists in the past.

Animal Eye Specialists in Richardson can do the CERF on eyes. See Dr. Beaumont.
They are also a great resource to have for eye related injuries, blocked tear ducts, etc...
I agree with Bradybuck. Dr. Aycock at Lewisville North Animal Clinic for hips and elbows. He knows gun dogs!

Dr. Aycock will do the films without sedating which I prefer.
