If it wasn’t pass interference, the helmet-to-helmet hit almost certainly should have been called a personal foul. Either way, the Saints should have received a 15-year penalty and a fresh set of downs with 1:45 remaining, which almost certainly would have effectively ended the game. Instead, the Saints had to settle for a field goal to go up 23-20, watched the Rams tie the game minutes later, then lose in overtime.

It was one of those plays where you think to yourself, if that isn't called then this game must be fixed. Until now, I've never seen such a play when the obvious infraction wasn't called.

There's only one word that comes to mind to explain the incident - racketeering.

What was the betting line on this game ?

Could have been a game changer...too bad for the Saints.

The ones that I remember were based on rules that were often seen as vague in their definition. In today's case, there was absolutely no doubt as to how the defensive player's actions satisfied a much more clear definition and interpretation of a rule.

I hate for anyone in LA to be happy.

A first down would have taken enough time off the clock to have guaranteed a win.

There's no question is was a clear game changing call that altered without question, which team goes to the Super Bowl.

Heck, just look at that roughing the passer call! against the Chiefs! Totally wrong! Gotta protect the GOAT at all cost!

Saints still had the game in their hands and couldn't close the deal. I still think the better team won.

One play, they had just as much of a shot in overtime as the rams did and couldn’t get it done.

I had Saints -2.5 so yes that non call cost me a win

Was the “fix” on? If this was 30-40yrs ago I’d possibly buy into that theory. Nowadays, nah. However, I’m not much into conspiracies and such but that’s just me.

That was horrible, but it didn't bother me that it happened to the Aints.
