He's giving you the ol' stink eye in that second pic.
Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.

Y'all got me to looking at how to eat a Porcupine. Interesting fact I found is that thier meat is considered safe to eat raw by many people.
I'm still not going to kill and eat one just for the heck of it though. To many other tasty critters out there to mess with one of them prickly suckers.

I have only seen one at the lease in daylight but have up to 5 at a time under feeders at night. would not be my choice critter to eat though. Land owner wants them all killed after a $350 vet bill for one dog.
Cool pics

I grew up in Coleman county. If someone told me there were porcupines or badgers in Texas I would have laughed at them. They are a northern species that live in colder environments. About 10 years ago we bought land on the Colorado River. I'm sitting in a tree blind and I hear what I am sure is a a huge 16 point buck in the underbrush coming towards me. When it is finally visible I have to blink a couple of times to make sure I am not seeing things. A waddling porcupine. As he is wandering off, I catch movement in a hole near the road. I just see head a couple of times. Then a badger fully appears. Just never know what you might see.

Haha yea I polished that thing for hours.

We had lots of them in our place in Campwood, found one eaten 1 time, read that mountain lions love them they flip them over and eat them from the belly, pretty funny if youve seen one climb a hog panel how they do it., they always seem to mess up my cameras so i dont miss them.
