Heard this deer camp story by Mathew McConaughey and figured it was worth a share. Anybody got one better?

My dad had a client that owned a ranch near sweetwater. One year he invited us out to deer hunt. I was only about 7-8 at the time. The guy that owns the ranch was a WW2 vet that lost both his legs in the war. After, he went to school and started a prosthetic limb company. Several of the other guys that went were customers. One in particular was a Vietnam vet that lost both legs in combat as well. I’ll never forget the stories he told around the fire that weekend but one of the funniest jokes were the shoes he was wearing. He had a pair of Velcro strap shoes. A cold front came in that weekend and it iced everything over and was extremely cold. I was absolutely freezing and didn’t have any warm boots. Just standard ropers and my feet were frozen. The guy kept telling me I needed some of those shoes cause his feet never got cold. My dad finally had to explain it to me. Never put two and two together but I’ll never forget that weekend.

An “experienced” deer hunter who always knows the “right way” to do everything once left an entire package of cinnamon rolls open at camp right when we all left to the blinds. When we got back to camp after the morning hunt, there were thousands of honeybees on those rolls. Even though we got rid of the cinnamon rolls, those bees never left the camp the entire weekend!! We gave him so much [censored] after that. It was hilarious!
If you want some friendly advice, get a haircut and take a bath. You wouldn't get hassled so much.

Two guys who were well known for often drinking too much were sitting around the campfire one night being somewhere between bullet proof and transparent. They both ignored the 5 gallon bucket of old motor oil that had been left just a few feet form the fire. Yes, you guessed it. The oil eventually reached its flash point temperature. There wasn’t a leaf left on the tree that hung over the fire pit, and all the grass within 15 feet of it was burned completely.
I wasn’t there to see it but was told the both of them went from chit-faced to sober in less than two seconds.
