I went to Choke Caynon today and noticed the water is a lot higher than last year. Does anyonr know any part of the lake tat is huntable for duck. Most areas seemed way too deep or had way to much brush. It seemed like I couldn’t find any shallow part on the lake, thank you all for advice. All best, CW

Which Canyon lake are you talking about?
Is it the one above San Anton or the one below San Anton?
The one south of San Anton DU did a teal hunt on several years ago. Don't know to much about it.
Like any lake, you'll just have to put your time in and find the X

youre going to have to be more specific? did you drive around in a boat or just drive over a bridge and be like dang the waters high Ill ask the internet where to hunt? The lake is is the highest its been in 7 years so there will be a lot of heavy growth and brush in anything that is 1-5ft deep get any deeper and it might be a clear area but as you stated its deep water. If you scout and find birds tie up in the brush and hunt there even if the water is deep

I drove around in four fingers Where we had good luck last year but it isn’t huntable since the water is so dee now. Every place we looked around the south shore unit was covered in brush and waters edge was always like 8+ feet deep. I just couldn’t find a shallower area with no brush, hydrilla is fine but the smaller trees I don’t think help out decoys.

It's closed to hunting this year. Unless he drew a permit. Did you draw a permit?

You’d rather lie to someone, and have him not hunt. I thought the point of a form was to share information, not just tell someone to scout more.

You wouldn't catch me in waders on that lake. Have you seen the size of the gators?

Silver spurs and gold tequila keep me hanging on. Pretty girls and old cantinas give me shelter from the storm.

No matter how high a duck flies a hammer still breaks a window.
