Copeland Calls is a custom call maker down near Houston. I’ve bought several calls form him. They are gorgeous and sound as good as they look.

Have two buck gardners, an old DC, a custom call from a gentleman down around Houston, picked it up several years ago and can’t recall his name and the sticker is faded. Lastly, an old single reed primos. That cheap primos has better tone and carries farther than anything else I have. I only carry two calls on my lanyard and I never wanted to carry it because I have nicer calls. The primos went on the lanyard this year, buck Gardner came off.

Mark at Gander Valley has the best customer service and he makes an awesome duck call.

Mallard calls:(I learned on a single reed and my choices reflect that)
1-Sean Mann-good tone, exceptional carry if you stand on it. High to low, raspy to clear, Loud to soft, it is very versatile and easy for me to use.
2-RnT cut down- love the soft rasp in the timber.
3-Faulks single reed-What I learned on. Inexpensive and killed several boat loads of ducks with it.
Wood Duck
1-Duck Commander- Operates like a short reed goose call. Only call I have ever been able make realistic enough calls to actually turn wood ducks to me with. (a hard call for me to master and requires back pressure though)

I hunt a lot of river bottoms in Texas. One mallard call and a wood duck call are all that is on my lanyard here.

Old Faulks Called in more ducks with that call than all the others I have used combined

rnt timbre is my favorite call. i also have a rnt short barrel that i use to really like, however i sent it back to rnt for repairs as the insert cracked. they replaced with a new insert, but the call just doesn't sound the same.

i'm still trying to get that wood duck call down. im pretty decent on a short reed goose call. but the DC wood duck call is taking me a while to master.

I picked up two echo's, and a rnt. The rnt is a small batch, might be worth more than i paid for it once they're sold out.
And picking up a whistle from a buddy that makes them.
This duck hunting is getting expensive quick for sure.
