Is $.50-.75/rnd a good deal on good shells? Remington, Winchester and Kent. A guy has them listed on TxGun Trader and says $500 for the Lot of 874. He is getting out of the guide business. He takes texts at 817-614-898five in Mansfield/Arlington

Not a great price but not over priced for those brands. $15 a box is $.60/ shell

Not really, You can buy brand new shells, 3", Federal, Fiochi, Winchester from Rogerssportinggoods.com pretty much all the time for $99 a case shipped to your door with no tax which is about $.40 per round. If you watch their sales a lot of times you can buy for around $.32 per round with rebates. I would not pay .50-.75 for used shells, that is more than new.

there is absolutely no such a thing as good steel. i d rather pay 1$ more and go tungsten or bismuth tired of shooting 2 more at cripples or waiting for that 25 yrd shot some folks would never spend a dollar extra on ammo, but on the way to camp, they have no issues buying a 30 pack of beer at an expensive gas station. Different strokes for different folks, i guess

I found a guy on craigslist selling 86 unopened boxes of steel duck loads plus 10 boxes that had some shells missing/ used. Payed 500 and got a little more than 2200 shells so I payed about $.22 per round.

I load bismuth shot, they say it acts like lead and is softer than steel for my twice barrel shot guns. Will be checking that out this weekend.
