Im a volunteer deer guide on Ft Hood again this year and my area was given a 6 buck quota. We killed 3 spikes, a nice 10, an old cull 7, and my 8 point.

This morning we had 1 buck left on the quota and I took out 6 hunters. One of the hunters shot a buck meeting our quota but you can go over that quota if you are hunting at the time the quota is met so when a 4 yr old big bodied 8 point came out I decided to do some management and remove him from the gene pool. I also killed a spike opening morning with my son in the stand with me. I truly didn't want to shoot it but seeing how excited my son was I just couldn't say no and it was totally worth it.

its a 270 shooting handloads from custom reloads of Dallas. 130 grain going 3060FPS.
