Which companies make a left handed ar? I have a right handed shooter that is left eyed
If I remember right not many make a dedicated ar. Which other components besides ambi selector
I should know but I have never really concentrated on lefty items

I should know but I have never really concentrated on lefty items ARs are already ambi for the most part. Some companies make lefty side chargers though.
Haha yea I polished that thing for hours.

Never have needed a LH AR. Running a RH AR, left handed is no trouble. I cant remember which ones make a lefty either.
Left index finger runs the bolt release, and the safety, if it's not an ambi safety. Slide the right hand back to push the mag release with right thumb.

I've been using my left thumb to operate the selector switch and left index finger to operate the bolt catch since I was a teenager. It just feels right.

Stag is not on the approved list
Looks like it’s not worth the mess to find a dedicated lefty

My wife is left eye dominant so I taught her to shoot left handed. I looked for a left hand eject Ar for a while but gave up after a while. She does fine left handed now.

Throw in a charging handle that unlatched on the left or right side. I can hold the rifle by the grip, muzzle down, grab the right side of the charging handle with my right hand, and pull it back. RH AR works just fine for a lefty. And I prefer my right hand Win Super X II shotgun. I can tilt the shotgun to the left, hand still on the grip, right hand top load one, and right thumb hit the bolt release. Both long guns are very fast to use with a bit of hands-on experience.

Curious, why is Stag not on the approved list. Where does one find this list?

My cousin showed me his lefty AR at least 10 years ago, so somebody makes them (or did). One thing to consider is that he is wealthy, so cost would not have been a factor in his buying what he wanted.

Curious, why is Stag not on the approved list. Where does one find this list? Each PD has a different approved list. Most list are very limited and some places are more generous. I have never seen a Stag on the list anywhere.

The only time I have found shooting a right handed ar left handed sucks, is when they are suppressed. You get way more gas in the face. And what is the list, california or something?

They usually consist of brands that have more military or FBI type testing done to them.

It doesn't help you any patrick because its not a factory rifle but i built my hunting buddy a lefty SBR. It was a pain to build and find the parts for. But besides him every lefty i know shoots righty ARs.

If you're gonna suppress it, I'd look at a KelTec RDB instead of an AR.

Stag and Rock River are the only factory ARs I know of that come in lefty. Have owned both. RR was a better rifle, but is built with RR specific lefty parts. Most of the parts do not interchange with other AR platforms.

I own a LH AR. This thread has me LMAO!!!! The reason for a LH AR is so you don’t have hat brass stick to the side of your neck, face or worse drop down the front of your shirt.
If your going to tell me it doesn’t happen then I’m going to tell you..... you never went thru basic training or boot camp with any LH shooters.
Sometimes you guys crack me up...... seriously.
