Meh
Anybody can look at google maps and see hwt lakes there are to hunt, that doesn't mean that there will be ducks there. Gotta put in the scouting regard;less if you want to be successful.

Google Earth changed the need for boots on the ground finding hidden water. This does nothing.

My point was there’s a lot of lakes and places people have no idea you can hunt. This changes that a little. Shoot there’s a place 20 minutes from my house that has tanks that allow hunting that has been open for years that I only found out about last season.

They just posted where the WMA's are. I dont see this as a game changer in any way. The state of Texas already does that.

So lemme get this straight... they're morons for publishing all the public hunting areas, and you thought is was a *good* (that is, not moronic) idea to post it on an internet forum crawling with duck hunters?
I don't care - I just don't follow the logic.

Every time someone marks a location on OnX maps its is saved.
I'm sure at some point it will be made public at some point or they will sell the info for hot spots on public land.

Every time I place a mark with my ONx maps on my phone it is on my ipad and computer when I log in on those other devices. I know ONx map people have access to the data and if they find a way to make money off the data I'm sure they will.

I think they’d lose a lot of people if they suddenly shared everyone’s secret hunting and fishing spots

I can think of a 100 things that could go wrong showing up in the morning and only using those maps. Scouting is only necessary if you want to be successful.
