So i went out this afternoon and my rem 700 25.06 misfired on a yote, then shot on second shot. Then misfired on a pig. Didnt get 2nd shot on him. I shot 4 rounds through it after hunting and 1 misfired. So thats 3/7 misfires. I tried running the misfired shells through it 3 times each and they never went off. Is it definitely the ammo? Rem core lokt. I put a timmey trigger on it last winter and it shot 4 or 5 times no prob. Im a little concerned it has something to do with that. But it was also the same box of shells as well. Ive never tried shooting misfired ammo but i assume if theres nothing wrong with gun eventually the round would fire, making me think its the ammo. Thoughts?

Try a few different brands of ammo.

That same cheap ammo has done that on me before.

What do the primers look like?

Have you cleaned the unloaded gun ?

Yep I was thinking check firing pin for bindage

I’d also spray cleaner in the bolt & let it run out

I have had some core-lokt misfires also.

I believe that you may have a firing pin issue. Gunk in bolt or damaged firing pin. If you can, disassemble the bolt, clean with solvent and check firing pin for damage at tip.
If the ammo, EVENTUALLY fires, that should tell you that you are not getting a consistent firing pin strike.

I’ve been using Core-Lokt ammo in every rifle that I own for decades now and have never gotten a misfire.

There are several good videos on YouTube that show how the disassemble, clean, and then reassemble the bolt on a Remington 700.

I've also been using Core-Lokt ammo for decades (243, 270, 30-06) and not once have I had a misfire. And there's been allot of rounds down those barrels.

Could it be a spring issue when you put the new trigger in? Only two possible issues in my mind -- bad batch of ammo (try a different brand or box with different lot number) or light primer strikes.

Bingo. Had to replace a firing pin and spring in one of my 700 actions last year. It was doing the same thing. I use David Tubb springs and pins.

If you were reloading I might think the primer was too deep but if they are factory Core-lokt it seems a low probability the ammo is defective. If it has been a while since you disassembled the bolt and cleaned it, might try that. It should be done at least once a year. Check for any burs on the tip of the firing pin and the firing pin hole- make sure the clearance is okay. Taking the bolt apart is EASY.
It would seem improbable but if the chamber was a little too deep- that may be the issue. I reloaded for a 94 Winchester and sold the gun and bought a marlin 336. Those Model 94 reloads were only neck sized. They fit okay in the 94 but were too big for the Marlin 336, so chamber sizes do vary. Try another brand of ammo.

Be very careful with a hang fire round. They can go off seconds later. Ejected a misfire round once and it went off on the ground at my feet, I treat them with a different respect now. Any misfire I have had was faulty ammo.

Can be as simple us something stuck to bolt's face.

Shouldn't have anything to do with the trigger. The force for the firing in comes from the spring inside the bolt. More often than not, you will have some build up, or trash inside the bolt causing the firing pin not to get all the way forward. Spring binding is second and third is firing pin damage. Unless you have gotten pierced primers or are seeing oddly shaped firing pin strikes on the primers I doubt that is the issue though. Occasionally it is the ammunition. No matter how reliable they are they sometimes have a bad batch of primers, out of spec primer pockets, etc.
