Slow start on the coast with 4 shot Saturday but Sunday I managed to pull out a limit ahead of the front. Still great to get out and let Retta enjoy doing some work. Either there are not as many ducks down as usual for this time of year or they are very spread out due to an abundance of water. Was very lucky in that all greys seen were willing to work to the call. No pintails around at all which was concerning. Very few bluewings left in the marsh with a few greenwings noted to be showing up. Hoping for significant pushes of weather and birds ASAP.

Big numbers of bluewings, pintails and others on the prairie. Fast limits for many. Saw lots of pintails headed for the coast ahead of the little front Sunday.

That's great news snogeese! Hopefully most of them pushed all the way down. Planning to get back out there after them Wednesday morning before work to check and see.

Buddy of mine said he saw a bunch of teal and pintail coming in down there. Also found a flock of about a 100 mallards just chilling in the canal down by his house.
