I tell that story to say this. I am an avid outdoorsman who grew up raising and training labs with my father who passed away when I was a teenager. My heart wasn't in it after that and I gave up the dogs but now with my young family and nothing but free time on my hands I want to share that passion and traditions with them.
I've been more into uplands than waterfowl as an adult and although I've never owned one I have hunted over several Brittneys and simply falling in love with them.

Now it's looking like that might be a pipe dream and she will most likely be a family pet and my best friend who doesn't get to hunt much but the search begins for my first Brittney bitch.
That brings us to my question. Is anyone on here a breeder, Hunter or know someone who might be willing to help me get to know the breed a little better and begin the search?
Anything would be helpful and I'm willing to pay for time if need be. I just want to ensure that I am responsible and do things in the right way just as my father did...

I would give Mike and Bonnie a call at M&W Gun Dog. They are out of Alvord, TX 940-389-3070. I'm completely happy with the pup I got from them in January 2017!!! He is a bird finding machine and when we get home he can turn it off and let my kids lay on him like a big pillow!!!!! I don't think they have any pups now but they have to started dogs for sale!!!
