When I hunted Refugio, the most active rut activity always happened the last week of Archery into first week of November then another less intense or "secondary" rut in December. We were north of the town.

Yeah, from my experience it’s the first and 2nd weeks of November from what i usually see. It’s funny tho. In that area in particular you get wide ranging answers even from the folks who have hunted there forever. You don’t see discrepancies in reports that are so vast in other areas.

The years that I hunted Refugio & Goliad Counties the rut always seemed to kick off end of November/early December.

I live about 28 miles due north of Refugio in western Goliad County and the rut starts here around Nov 15th give or take a couple of days every year. Last year it was on the 13th.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

Ranchman. Would you assume ur place and Refugio to be the same or is it possible Refugio could be a week earlier ? Just a curiosity
