Do you have livestock on your place? Deer Cane is an attractant, not sure about Black Magic, Trophy Rocks is mainly salt and trace mineral and Record Rack is the only mineral of those I know about. Most just clean an area of surface debris then dig a hole. Pour the mineral in and shovel some clean soil back on top of it and mix it with the mineral. Then pour a bucket of water on top. Some even pour a little corn on top after that.

I just get mineral blocks and use a digging bar to break it into about 4 pieces then put them out. I also have purina goat mineral out for the Ibex that the deer use.

Winter blend cattle mineral made by Nutrena is what I use for my cattle and deer and they make a summer blind for spring/summer also. It comes in granular form and I just pour it in a medium size pile straight onto the ground.

Used to buy all that stuff, now I just get a salt/mineral block from the feed store for around $10. Same blocks I had out for my cows and deer would use it when they wanted anyway.
