Unless I am mistaken, today was the deadline for accepting a permit and paying fees for all of the October 15 Draws. So tomorrow should resolve all of our "Pending Second Draw" applications! If anyone actually gets drawn on the 2nd draw, let us know! I am quite curious to see how often it happens. Has anyone here ever been drawn on a 2nd draw?

I was but it was for the Aransas Wildlife Refuge’s third hunt. Not one of the big popular ones though.

I have a beach house in Rockport we rent out but also use all year, so I’ll get to stay there the 5-6 days during the hunt and get some nice peace and quiet + solitude AND all the comforts of my bed. For me, it’s perfect. (Although the Big Bend Ranch Mule Deer would have been cool too) I drew it for this year, so it’s like I get two Christmas’ this December.

Yeah man that's a good pull, I'd be pretty excited for that one too. Good luck on the hunt and let us know how it goes!

Not selected on all pending 2nd draws here. Same here. Although I've been drawn for Bastrop SP (Gun Deer) in January, I really wish my son would've drawn one.

I got Manson Mountain WMA Management buck hunt on a second draw this year. I also got Archery deer/exotic at Laguna Atascosa NWR for 11/16-11/20 on the first draw. It's going to be an interesting week. Mason Mountain starts the day the Archery hunt at Laguna Atascosa ends.

I will. I'm pretty excited. I would love to be able to fill a freezer this year.

Hey, at least you got a pretty sweet draw early on… three deer, either sex and unlimited exotics (although I'm uncertain what exotics are actually there)… pretty killer draw.

That's one of the more exciting parts about the place. There are a ton of Nilgai in the area. I worked down there almost all of last year and could see them walking around in the distance.

Thisisbeer, Are you saying you saw nilgai around Bastrop State Park area? Or are you referring to South Texas/Laguna Atascosa?
