First time to Canada was a huge success. Killed lots of Canada’s, mallards, snows and specks. I’ll add more pics through out the day

Serious question, not trying to be an A$$, but if your on a hunt of a lifetime covered up in ducks, why kill so many hens?
Just wondering.
I do not see many drakes in your photos at all, did you just not see many?

Based on the timing I would guess that some of the birds are still in their molt plumage. Congrats on a great hunt!

Based on the timing I would guess that some of the birds are still in their molt plumage. Congrats on a great hunt! Hard to see on my phone but I think your right. Great hunt!

It was very hard to tell the difference on the drakes and hens. There were some drakes that stood out but if you look at the bills good enough we tried to whack the drakes only.
Dry field mallard shoots are ridiculous up there
