I do, and have been ever since I started hunting a little over 36 years ago. During that time, I can only recall 6, maybe 8 animals that I have killed with factory loads.

Everything else has been taken with handloads/reloads.

I havent bought a box of new rifle shells since 1965. I shoot about 3 to 10 thousand rounds a year.I have 2 rifles beeing re barreled now because I shot them out.Have 4 shotgun shell machines. I buy powder by the 8 # kegs, Roll your own is the only way to go if you shoot much.

I have been reloading for 30 or so years. Over the years I have accumulated a bit of reloading stuff. At last count I could reload roughly 80 different calibers. Although I still use the a single stage press for loading hunting ammo most of my reloading is done on progressive presses. I an currently using four dillon square deal b's for loading handgun cartridges, two dillon 550's for various rifle catridges and a dillon 650 for .223 and .308 when I load more than a couple of hundred at a time.

Here are a couple of pictures of part of my setup.

That is one of the better reloading set-ups that I have ever seen. That is really nice.

Very nice set up!
Looks spot less
See you got the old Rock Chocker handy.
What kind of range set do you have?
How and what method do you use for recording load data?
I think I am turning GREEN

Thanks for the compliments. Yep, it wouldn't be a setup without a Rockchucker. I actually wore one out as this is my second one. I could have sent it back and RCBS would have replaced it but my concience wouldn't allow that. The window of the Rockchucker is barely large enough to load .416 Rigby's but if you put the bullet in the case first you can make it work.

My range setup is nothing fancy. Just a good solid bench under a shade tree. I was going to build a range where I could shoot out of the back of my shop. But there are some elderly neighbors across the creek and my shooting there would probably make them nervous. So out of respect for them my range is about a half mile away. It currently goes to 350 yards but that is fixin to change this winter as it will get a facelift. I have an EasyGo cart to haul stuff to the range and back.

I use the Lee Shooter program to keep my load data and always back it up with a label on the box of ammo along with written records.

I load for my 7MM/08, 30'06, 222Rem, 25'06, and 45acp. Stated loading my own about 12years ago, and haven't bought any factory ammo since. Except 22LR.

Me too! Hell for a minute I thought this was a Woodstock website!

I've been reloading for about 20 years now and have not killed an animal with a factory load since. I stick with Nosler, Sierra and some Hornady on my bullets and try different powders to find the most accurate load possible for my rifles. I like to reload and love when I can take a factory gun to the range and drive tacks with it. It always seems to get the guys attention next to me when he's shooting a custom rifle that cost $2,000+ and I'm shooting a rifle that cost less than $500 out of the box and just smoke his groups!

It's funny how a lot of people don't realize how much more accurate you can get any rifle by fine tuning it with the ammo it likes best!

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

Right now the only equipment I have for reloading is for my 20 ga shotgun. I have a .30-06 but it is a recent purchase and have no equipment to reload it but soon I will.

I used to shoot alot or trap - the hole reason for the reload equipment - I agree that if you are planning to do alot of shooting it is well worth the investment in time and money to setup a space to reload and do not forget to write down records of the amount of powder and shot/bullet that you use and also the results if gives at the shooting range. I also wrote down how I felt after shooting a box of a particular reload. Sounds funny I know but if after shooting a load and your shoulder hurts or the gun is hotter than usual that is very important and you may need to rethink that load so you don't hurt yourself and/or your equipment. Be safe!

I've been at it for almost 40 years. Pistol rounds from 9mm to 45 Colt, rifles from .22 Hornet to 45-70. 12 and 20 gauges, too, and even cast my own bullets. But Wow, I'm gonna have to keep a picture of M16's setup handy for the next time my wife thinks I've been accumulating too many green boxes!
