Gave two sits last weekend, first one I saw some good numbers but nothing worth getting struck by lightning over. Second sit (Sunday am) was almost a washout and saw very little. My so. Sat at a different blind for both sits and he saw little in first sit and nothing in the second. We didn’t even try this weekend as it has rained several inches since and there is no way we would even be able to drive anywhere on the ranch without fear of getting mudded in. 2 sits in the first three weeks of season is killing me.

Hoping for some time in the stand next weekend. How’s everyone else’s hunting time been affected by the rain?

Hunted two weekends ago and had one storm come right over us with just a short drizzle near dark with the majority of it splitting around us but hit camp pretty good. Then Sunday evening we had a huge storm come over about 30 minutes before needing to head out. We sat in our campers and waited it out which only lasted about 10 minutes of heavy rain and it was done. We made a mad dash to our spots with nothing else the rest of the evening.

The whole weekend only saw 2 deer at a feeder but saw several in the brush. I did shoot 2 pigs so it wasn't a total waste but my shooter buck was hitting feeders at 3am. Hoping that changes this coming weekend.
