Just back from a 10 day trip to Canada, traveling from Vancouver to Calgary, with some stops at Victoria, Lake Louise, and Banff. Took lots of photos, but knew the guys here would like these 3 the most:





All taken with iphone, distance was about 50 yards away. The 2 bull elk are separate pictures in different areas. When in Banff they had a sudden snow storm that dumped 10" of snow in 14 hours. Sure was great to see and experience, but nice to leave it behind.

That is some beautiful country, a hunter's paradise. But come wintertime I would be like my neighbor down the street, a former Canadian that goes "home" in late April and returns to his new home in September.

That area is gorgeous but werid. Lots of dead old growth forest inside the park

Some great bulls on the fairmount golf course. I came across some stud rams also out side the park. I got with in 60 yards before spooking them out.

It has been a long time but the wife and I traveled from Portland Oregon up through western Washington state, rode the ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria beautiful city then up Vancouver Island to another ferry out of Nanaimo landed north of Vancouver city up to Whistler, back down to Vancouver City and the scenic tour back to Portland.

Beautiful country, great skiing and wildlife.

Very cool, spent my honeymoon in Banff this year at the end of May. Beautiful place
