Does anyone on here do any public land hunting around the Whitney or Aquila lakes? I am looking to do some and wanting some pointers from experienced public land hunters. Would like to do a little research before I embarrass myself...
Bow hunting from ground blind and only deer and maybe hogs...

All I know is you have to go to the park office and get a permit. Its free but they are only open during the week and close at like 5PM so kind of a pain if you have an 8-5 job.
