I used Seekins low 1.0 inch rings on my XTRII 5-25 and it was just the right height. I think high rings will be way too high.

My 6-24x50 Bushnell ET sits pretty close in .97" Seekins rings on my CTR with factory rail, and the sight picture is just about perfect. Pic is a little angled but the gap is around .1" or so. .92" would work but another shorter was out.

Ok, so last night I bought the Burris XTRii 4X20X50 with the illuminated G2B mil dot reticle. Any suggestions on rings? Good call on the scope. I use more Badger Ordnance rings than anything. Medium height. But I also install a Triad Tactical stock pack on every rifle, as well. Makes for a comfortable and proper cheek weld and sight height.
