Due to recent rains, grass growth has exploded, so I shredded the normal lanes between food plots yesterday, while walking out to trim a few limbs, I found the scrape. I have one here like every other year it seems, usually 40 yards down hill on another tree tho, but was a bit surprised to say the least. Not well worked over and the photo is poor, but only one night as it wasn't there yesterday.

Yeah I saw a couple Monday in Oklahoma where I hunt. The one field I was spraying was pretty worn down from sparring as well, and when I checked the sd card it showed plenty of young ones flexing their muscles.
It should be a good weekend to be in the stand this weekend. And for the next couple weekends.

Yes sir, been getting young ones sparring at the feeder on tc, or rather playing make believe. Still seeing the does bowing up and running them off yet tho. Few older bucks once and a while cruising thru, but haven't seen them getting cross eyed yet here

Got two yearling bucks on trail camera going at it for a couple minutes this morning. In Webb Co. Boys will be boys. Have a few other photos of young bucks pushing/pursuing does. Once bucks are in hard antler, that testosterone spike really gets the young ones fired up.

I watched two yearling bucks Sunday morning eat corn then 1 walked over to a low hanging Live Oak limb and attempted to make a scrape. Lot of brush thrashing going on right now so they are getting to the point of making active scrapes here.
Are idiots multiplying faster than normal people?

I had young bucks sparring and playing at making scrapes last weekend in San Saba county. Thought it was a little early. If you can zoom in you will see a buck in the treeline rubbing his orbital glands in an annual scrape spot.

There is some pretty serious sparring going on here. Two of the 8 pointers I watch have broken tips and one lost a brow tine.
