50 lb sacks and usually load about a ton and a half at a time. They are easy to get off the fork lift when they lift the corn pallet up above the tailgate. Love it when I can just say I'll take the rest of that pallet, saves half my effort.
Loading them in one by one, it is time. A 20% reduction in capacity/bag equals a 25% increase in my effort/labor to fill. The weight isn't the issue, its time. I will buy the 50# and have more time to do other work.
In case anyone is wondering, a 37.5# bag means an increase in time of 33% over a 50# bag

We either buy 50lb sack or buy it in bulk 5 tons at a time.
Just to make sure that it is done thoroughly, I go both ways.

I buy 50 pounders at Brookshires of all places in Denton. What are you paying a bag? I have found most Brookshires expensive for everything. Not many choices in small towns though. Your Buccee's will be opening soon.

I noticed some corn bags in Wallyworld the other day that was 37.5 lbs. Still the 5.97 a bag, but 2.5 lbs lighter. Has anybody else noticed other retailers with reduced weight in the bags? i just doa little math..a smaller bag is always easier on me since i hunt and do all the work by myself..just do some division and if the samaller bag comes out within a few cents either way thats what i buy..i screwed up the other day when i bought corn on a discount form brookshires for 6 bucks a bag..for 50 lbs..great deal..but the corn inside the bag was so loosy goosy it was difulcult to haul up the ladder..ill stick with my feed store at the lease

If you're paying $5.97 for a 40 lb bag, you're getting ripped off. And if you're paying $5.97 for a 37.5 lb bag, you're getting ripped off and flipped off.

I buy 50# bags but first use a 5 gal bucket to empty about half the bag (two bucket loads) before climbing the ladder to empty the remaining half bag. At 59, I’m too old to get crazy on a ladder.

Did a price check. Walmart is more expensive, per pound, than the local feed store
