Went on this hunt the weekend for the 22nd. Booked though Mulie Mike at WTHO. This was a free range Sika hunt. With all the flooding in Sonora the shot came down to the last hour of the last evening. The flooding made it very difficult to get around. I reserved this hunt 2 years and have been wanting a Sika for a long time. So glad it worked out.

This probably should be posted in exotics now that I look more closely at the forum description.

The quality of the photo makes it all the better.

Totally agree. Good pictures are trophies themselves especially when you have to wait a year for taxidermy. I'm going wall pedestal with this one because his mane is so thick and dark.

Congratulations!!! I did the same hunt a couple of years ago and it was awesome. We saw several fair bucks, and one that was really nice, but he kept close to the thick trees and was in the a second after we saw him. This happened 3 different times, but then for whatever reason, on the fourth time, he ran out across an opening and I got a lucky shot off!!! He's one of my favorite mounts that I have over my TV.

Picked him up from the Taxidermist over the weekend. True Life in Grandbury did the work.
