I sighted my crossbow in using 100gr field tips. Just for giggles I put a swhacker mechanical 100gr on one of my bolts and shot it. It shot to the right about 4’ to 5’. After that I didn’t shoot another. What would/could cause that?

Was it on the same bolt.

I will never hunt with a bolt I have not shot, have seen more than one not hit the right location, especially with some of the bolts that come with packages.

Yeah same bolts I had been shooting. Just changed out tip. I just shot another one and can’t even find the bolt, but prior to that, I shot a field tip and hit the mark...

Blades may have opened mid flight and threw bolt off.

That can certainly throw them off, I have missed the target years ago due to that happening, that was before the days of Crossbow specific broadhead for crossbow. If the package for the broadhead does not say crossbow on it this could very well be the problem and I have had one rage crossbow open before the target, have not shot them since
