In Ellis County, there are a lot of birds here that weren't last week.
You guys seeing these too in your area?

Went out last night almost limited in 45 minutes and there were mainly bigger white wings where there were mainly mournings the first half of the week.

Lots of new birds moved in around fort worth, but they all stick to subdivisions under construction filled with sunflowers, powerlines, water on the muddy roads and gravel  They wont cross the roads to the double plowed milo fields Lake grapevine is LOADED with roosting whitewings

None yet in Woodson either. Thats strange. We shot local young birds on the opener with a few mature locals. Nobody hunted our place last weekend due to the rain. yesterday I went out to look at our fields.....lots of mature, northern birds everywhere. We did not have many birds opening weekend either. Throckmortan....about halfway to Woodson actually.

A bunch of northern birds showed up here this morning, hopefully they stick around for the guys this weekend but another front with rain coming in on Wednesday.

Got into them in Albany this weekend. Their little wings are a little harder to break than the local birds.

I have seen wave after wave after wave at 6:45 pm heading west from dfw, all white wings, groups of 100
Easely 5000-10,000

now if only the weather will hold for Saturday. in the coleman county area, it keeps on switching from rainy to cloudy to rainy to cloudy to partly cloudy. driving me nuts checking it every few hours!
