I have a small lease on the Concho/Tom Green county line. Lots of deer/turkey. I've been on this lease for eleven years. It's not a "trophy" lease. However, we all have taken some nice bucks over the years. Largest taken on our place was a 147 gross. The largest I've taken was a 135 class.

I have hunted Concho for many yrs & wiht all the pressure you get decent size deer but in open hunting lands (like everywhere else) the big trophy 10 pt or better is hard to find. I did get a bruiser 12 pt one yr so it is possible. I here rates are about 2k/gun for about 200acres. Good Luck

I was on a lease in concho county near salt gap. My friend is still on the lease. He killed a 170 class buck there a couple years. Body size was alot bigger than where I hunt now(San Saba)

I own 60 acres in Concho County. It ain't much, but it's paid for. There are some 160+ deer in my area. Where is your place? That can make all the difference in the world. Do you have water? Do you plan to have feeders? Food plots? My next door neighbor really gets into hunting. He has a house full of excellent wall hangers...all from Concho County. A few are from next door, a few from about 3 miles away. Good luck. We'll have to get together. PM me your info and I'll let you know the next time I'll be down there (often).

BIL...I sent him a PM, also. Y'all come visit sometime. He has my info and when I'll be there the next time. (Don't like to post dates in case the boogie man is watching to see when the house is vacant. Although, my dog has to eat, too.)

There are axis on the eastside of concho.(Have no isea about the central and west side) The closer you are to the brady mountians the more there are.
$8-10an acre is fair on the east side.

Never heard of hodges, but if your traveling south from doole, as soon as you pass salt gap its on the west side of the road. The lease we had was about a mile off the road, but the landowner owned everything all the way to the blacktop.

I know where your talking about I've seen the black buck. My best friend owns the east side of the actual gap. Just south of that place..
