The Texas chapter of Backcountry Hunters and Anglers is Hosting a Public land clean up day around the state on Saturday Sept 22nd. BHA is providing lunch and all the supplies you need to help clean up. We are cleaning up main parking lots and other places out of the woods. This is to minimize pressure the weekend before season starts!!

If your interested please PM and RSVP to which location you will be at so we have an accurate count for food and drinks.

What time are we meeting? I was planning on attending Tawakoni, but am thinking about LBJ now.

I�m interested won�t know for sure till later on in the week, I would be attending the Tawakoni cleanup.

Be sure to bring gloves, a grabber, and a strong stomach. I took my son's Boy Scout troop on a camping trip to the SHNF. While we were waiting for the van to pick us up, we decided to pick up the garbage in the parking lot. There were used prophylactics, feminine hygiene products, dirty diapers, you name it. I told the boys to just pick up cans and paper.

Spoke with one of Texas BHA coordinators looks like Canyon Lake cleanup is going to be postponed.

Ok guys we are going to cancel the clean up days around the state. It is literally storming all over the state of Texas tonight and thru tomorrow. We are going to work on getting a new clean up day put together. Pint night is still on in Plano and Austin at the Filson stores.

Pint night sure does sound good though

I'm planning on taking my boys to the corps land on Texoma after deer season to pick up likely $100 in cans.
