Looking to stay under 1500 if possible

So far I'm looking at the
-CZ Supreme Field
-CZ redhead premium
-CZ wingshooter
-franchi instinct

I'm not a huge fan of auto safeties which I guess is why the CZ appeals more. If I'm missing any other models feel free to chime in.

I am currently looking at the CZ Supreme Field. I had a small gun shop send me some pictures and it is as pretty as all the published photos make it out to be.

That supreme field looks nice. How does it shoot?

You might want to look carefully for a gun with a stock specific to 28. I have heard that some manufacturers put basically the same stock and forearm for their 28 as for their 20. Not sure which do and which don't. I think if the 28 weighs a lot less than the same model in 20 that is better.

I absolutely love my Ruger Red Label 28. It is a delight to carry and shoot. It’s built on a small frame like 28s costing much more - it’s not on a 20 frame with smaller barrel diameters like so many are these days.

I would find a good used one from Gunbroker or another online source and not look back. $1500 should get one with a little shopping.

What kind of experience do you have with Franchi? The Instinct L is on my short list for a 28 ga.

I am between the browning 30" sporting, silver pigeon 30" and the Franchi.

I've owned an instinct l and affinity. They both were good field guns, in 20ga however.

My wife loves my Citori white lightning 28 almost as much as I do! She is also a fan of the Montefeltro compact in 20 ga, that I bought her so she’d quit grabbing at my 28 gauge laugh She’s 5’4” and both guns fit her very well, just my .02

It's sad that browning only offers 1 28ga, and it's the 725. The fit and finish was OK, there beretta silver pigeon looked like crap, highly disappointed not to mention I cant stand that auto safety and inertia trigger. CZ onky makes 1 in 28ga but it's too hard to find. Next step is north of 3k and that is just not in the budhet
