Finally going to try chasing some deer this year with a bow, my question is, would it be better to get some insulated bibs to hunt in, or just get some insulated pants and shirt? Just not real sure if one is more restricting on movement, as far as drawing the bow back or not. Thanks for any advice!

Well, if you're talking about bow season in general, a tee shirt and shorts will be all you need!!!
If you're talking about bow hunting thru gun season when it gets cooler, insulated coveralls may be all you need.

I would go with insolated pants or bibs so you can adjust layers depending on temps. You may find coveralls to be too much on some days.

I've been wearing coveralls the last two seasons, but have been wanting something a little less restrictive. I just pulled the trigger on some Sitka Gear. It's definitely a little pricey, but the reviews seem to be really good. The big problem with their stuff though is that you can't find it in a brick and mortar store, so you pretty much have to buy it sight unseen off the internet. Haven't received my order yet, but I'm looking forward to checking it out.

I would absolutely love to get Sitka gear but I’m a 23 year old trying to ball on a budget and those are waaayy out of the budget hahah

For the colder weather, I prefer under armour cold gear as a base layer to allow lighter outerwear. If you can find a deal on some decent fleece or wool pants / jacket, you can withstand some pretty cold weather with that combo. And the fleece/wool is quiet for those closer quarters needed for bow hunting.

I lived in the frozen north most of my life hunting from tree stands shooting longbow. Thicker winter clothing really affected my draw especially if it was a sitting shot. Easy to catch the string on bulky sleeves also, I always practiced in my thick clothing when that season came around. If your going with bibs or coveralls, better try them on and sit and squat in them to see what kind of constriction you have. When I was skinny, no big deal but the older and heavier you get the less comfortable they may be.

Depends on the kind of hunting you do . We mainly watch feeders . Bibs with a jacket works well for us . I undo the should straps once in the blind/popup.
