Do any of you shoot the Win SX3? If so, does it seem to get extremely dirty and jam up after not so many rounds. I have to take mine down and clean it what seems like much more often than any of my 1100's or Benelli's. Just curious.

Cannot answer for the SX3 specifically, but, I used a SX1 in competition and it would go 1,000's of rounds without any attention.

Now, I have a SX2 and have not noticed anything unusual.

The heavy fouling might be the shell selection. Some shells definitely burn dirtier than others.

I've been shooting Rio's which is what they sell at the range. I've tried several with the same result. After about 200 rounds its so sooty in the gas chamber underneath the forguard that it will not cycle.

My son shoots his SX3 all duck season and cleans it at the end of the season. Runs all brands of shells, never had a problem with being dirty.

Make sure the spring in the gas piston isn’t broken.

Would it still operate with spring broken? I'll check it, thanks for the advice!

Can’t comment on the SX3, but my old SX2 would. Duck season usually didn’t pose a problem, but walking through tall grass and brush for upland birds did. The dust and grit would build up enough to affect cycling. I started carrying some spray lube when doing a lot of walking in dusty conditions. That would get me by until I could tear it down and clean. The dry-type lubes seemed to help a little.
