I'm always reading about In-and-out burgers. Any in your area?

Wife and I went to In-and-out in Waco. It was an Ok burger, but rather small. We agreed that we didnt understand why anybody thought it was better than average. I thought the 5 Guys burger was pretty darned good. Braums is good also, though my wife likes it best because of the ice cream. There was a Culvers in the Woodlands, but I never ate there because I was on expense account or a supplier was buying, so why go to Culvers. Twisted Root is a chain, though not a big chain I suppose, but you can sure enough get a great burger and fries there.
If I was in some big shopping center with all the above burger places plus Whataburger, wendys, Burger King, and Sonic, I would eat at Twisted Root. The wife would probably eat at Braums. If Twisted Root was too crowded, Id stroll over to 5 Guys. Great fries and messy drippy burger, just like I like it.

Not sure if three constitutes a chain but Blue Sky in Amarillo and Lubbock beats them all. Soooooo good!!!

Okay lets clarify what kind of chain For a fast food chain Whataburger is the best. For a restaurant type chain Liberty burger.

Whataburger hands down. I ate at N and Out once and will never go back. Pretty bland.

Not sure if three constitutes a chain but Blue Sky in Amarillo and Lubbock beats them all. You are correct. That place is awesome! But I don't think 3 locations is considered a chain.

Surprised no one mentioned Heffs though it is not my favorite. Braums and Whaburger are good.

All things considered, Whataburger gets my vote. Since we are talking about Chains, it seems like WB is the most consistent no matter which restaurant you go to across Texas. JIMHO...

Braums and Whataburger. I have only eaten at Freddy's once and it was really good. I have seen a few showing up in the DFW. Not a fan of in n out either. Good but didnt live up to the hype.

I think a double Whataburger or double Whataburger JR can compete with some of the best burgers out there, chain or not.

a double WB actually makes it so you can taste the meat, patties are to thin. 5 Guys is good and messy depending on what you stack on it.

In and Out is so overated its not even funny! Whataburger might as well by synonymous with Texas! I also like me a good DQ belt buster.
