The fries at Freddie’s are those awful stick-type fries. That’s a deal killer for me. Braum’s has a good burger, and so does Whataburger. 5 Guys is good, though messy. Don’t care for In and Out Burger. If Twisted Root Burger is a chain, they get my vote for best.

All things considered, Whataburger gets my vote. Since we are talking about Chains, it seems like WB is the most consistent no matter which restaurant you go to across Texas. JIMHO...

Lately I’ve started considering WB and Burger Street to be top shelf eating.

I generally get crispy chicken sandwiches at fast food joints. I got burned out on poultry last Thanksgiving and made the rounds for cheeseburgers. I preferred the Jumbo Jack with cheese.

BTW, WB is my go to for almost any fast food, burgers, taquitos, etc. When I am in an area that has a Freddy's I will stop there. WB is all around and yes I likey

In and Out is best in the area, consistent at all places I have eaten.
Whataburger is all over the place, some are very good other not so good.
Will give Freddy's a shot one day

In and Out lost me on my first try and I ate nothing from there. Lost me with that foul smell.

I just remembered how fond I am of the Sonic double meat jalapeño cheeseburger. I rate that one way above anything WB has.

Fast food burger, Whataburger or In-N-Out. In-N-Out grinds their own meat in Dallas so never frozen or anything added to it. Tastes nothing like the others for that reason alone.
For step above fast food, Liberty Burger.

Where would one find a Freddy's? I eat at the one in Lubbock or San Angelo. I ate at the new one in Terrell Texas a couple of weeks ago. It's across the street from Buccee's https://freddysusa.com/locations/?state=tx

Mooyah is probably my favorite chain burger place. I find them very greasy and now they are way over priced. I think they are based in Plano or Frisco, 10 years ago they seemed better and were much cheaper. Mooyah charges $7.29 for a double cheeseburger, In and Out is less than $4.00

Best? True chain? Whataburger, Braums, in and out in that order.
You guys need to understand. In and Out is just another burger.... but everything is real and fresh.
Culver’s, Mooyah , Freddy’s, Texas Burger and Burger street..... not on every corner or convenient...so... not chain IMO
Never been to a camping world. I prefer Dick's to be honest.

Not sure if three constitutes a chain but Blue Sky in Amarillo and Lubbock beats them all.

Not sure if three constitutes a chain but Blue Sky in Amarillo and Lubbock beats them all. I would say that it constitutes a chain since their are multiple locations in 3 different cities (Abilene has one too). Blue Sky is really good. I wish we had them in the metroplex.
