Hello all,

I hope everyone is having a great day and counting down to deer season! I know I sure am. Last year I started videoing my hunts using only my cell phone. And it was a lot of fun but, it was definitely lacking some quality. This year I really wanted make better videos. This is my first video of 2018 and I would love some honest feedback.

Very cool lever gun kill, and a good shot. The video quality is great. I have just never let a pig be around long enough to adjust a camera a few times, you are more patient than me.

I was thinking , "not another 6-7 min video to kill one hog" but it was fun, kept my attention! And yes, that is a big hog!

Good video. Nice looking blind you were hunting out of. I have an old hand-me-down 30-30 that I can't wait to put to work also, gives me hope that this will be my year for it.

Looks like he heard the gun when you cocked it. If you pull the trigger before cocking, it doesn’t make a sound. Learned that years ago after big deer bolted when I cocked mine.

What video editing software are you using?

I've shot two hogs, one about the same size as the one in your video, that hit the ground and started kicking exactly like yours, only to get back up. The first time it happened I was using a .270 and the hog got away because it was only after I had started climbing out the back of my blind that I noticed he had gotten back to his feet. The second time it happened I was using a 30-30 and was ready once the hog got back to his feet. I don't think there's anything in the Texas woods that's harder to kill with hot lead than a wild pig.

It's also amazing how hogs and deer are quickly alerted to the slightest sound that's out of place.
