Hey all, wanted to see if anyone might know offhand if there are any differences in Polaris' "special edition models." Specifically, the 2001 500 HO sportsman. Near as I can tell they made a base 500 HO, a Remington Edition, and a Ducks Unlimited Edition. Only difference I can seem to find is the paint/camo jobs. Anybody know if there was anything that made the Remington or DU edition "special"? My father in law has what appears to be the DU model based on the camo pattern, just was curious if there was something different about it.

Or if anyone knows of a good site to go get that information. I've looked but not been able to find much.

Neighbor has a pair of 500HOs, one standard, one Richard Petty edition 2005 I think. As far as I can tell, the only difference is color, decals and stickers on those two. They take same suspension bushing kits, wheel bearings and half shafts because I have changed them in both. You can go on a parts page such as www.partspitstop.com with online pictures of individual assemblies and look up the two models and compare part numbers.

Thanks Vern! Kind of suspected that was the case.
