I wanted a Trail XQ50, but this deal was to good to pass up. Got 11% off plus 2% on my Cabelas card. My 1st impression of this scope is a 10. Simple to set up and the pic is good. Really like the pic in pic option. I have a Trijicon MK3-60, but wanted a scope that was better for the East Tx. woods, 12oz lighter and have a second rifle & scope for a friend to hunt w/me. This will fit the bill. Can't wait for my 2nd & 3rd silencers to get out of jail. Currently have a Yankee Hill Phantom TI, the ones in jail are a Crux Nemesis and Ark Neo. Hopefully will get the Nemesis by Christmas. Started night hunting w/an ATN NV 4x gen2+ which is still used on a 300 BO, the thermo's are both on 6.8SPC. Can't wait to get it sited in and take it on a hunt.

I think the XQ50 is the most practical and best value of the various Trail models. It is a good scope.

ended up spending 2485.00 for the apex, no tax or shipping. Hard to beat that. Very pleased.

The apex series are very good scopes for the money.

Apex is great stuff. Have you gotten it out to shoot pigs with yet? That’s the important part. Good luck

Notice your from Crosby. Used to duck down that way years ago . Curious what the pigs do to the rice after they pull the water off? Or do they fool with it? Or is there even anybody growing in that area anymore ??

no more rice around here, just sod farms. Rice fields are on the west side of Houston. I'm on a 330 ac lease near Lake Houston, mostly woods w/a pipeline through it. 3000 ac of woods next to it on the lake and river.
