I gun quite a bit for a local pilot. For a while I’ve been back and forth about putting a reflex sight on my shotgun. Seems like it would work pretty well but I can’t find anyone who has tried it. Before I drop several hunnys on a sight and mount I would like some feedback from someone who might have some experience.

Nothing better than a red dot sight for this application!

From my experience (10+ trips with thousands of dead pigs under my belt) you cant beat a AR with a red dot. Shooting a shotgun all day with buck shot will beat you up. If you are dead set on using a shotgun, dont cheap out on your red dot.

I used a red dot on my turkey gun for a season or two. I also killed a few pigs with it. It worked fine.
