I was thinking about converting one of my feeders to a protein feeder and saw this. As I have the quick release Moultrie feeders, all it would take is one turn of the motor to take it off and one more turn to put this up. However, when trying to find reviews, I could only find one that said it was too high for does to use, too low for big bucks and that it breaks very easy. Anybody use it? https://www.moultriefeeders.com/moultrie-dinner-plate-feeder-kit

I would just build me a wooden trough with a tine roof. Be cheaper and work just fine. Google or search the internet for pics of them and how low and wide the roof needs to be. Scrap untreated lumber will work just fine on the trough and use treated or cedar on the legs and anything the feed won't touch. All Seasons makes a protein tube that is galvanized and not that much more expensive. They used to sell a complete replacement tube with part that bolted to the feeder. Just have to ask them or a dealer close to you. https://www.allseasonsfeeders.com/collections/parts-accessories/Protein-Parts

I used one last and it worked just fine. It did break though when taking it down after winter. Its held on by a few plastic tabs so its not super sturdy.

I have one that I have used for the last 2 years. Works great! Hogs knocked it over and broke two of the three tabs that hold it on....no problem just drilled a couple of holes and put screws in to hold it up. Working great again.
