To all members - the owner of Dick's Sporting Goods and now Field & Stream stores has decided they will raise the age to 21 to purchase a rifle and will no longer sell AR type rifles or high capacity mags. They have given in to the liberal left and I for one will never shop at either store again. Each of you has to make up there own minds about this but I would strongly encourage you to do the same. Safe hunting and shooting to you all and thanks for reading!

I was already boycotting them after the last time they pulled something like this. The problem is so many will say they will, but will run right in the first time there is a sale on shells.

my question is until federal law changes are they able to refuse sell would that not be age decimation and against the law?

There are no laws against age discrimination for goods and services. Unless the store accepts federal funds for the sale of guns, there is nothing illegal about it.
The gun age laws are minimum age for sales, not maximum age. So, yes it is legal.

Excuse my ignorance, know what Dicks stores are and have never darkened the door of one. Have never heard of or seen a Field and Streams store???????

As I departed Academy yesterday, I thanked the greeter by saying "Thanks for not being Dicks". I think I will do that everytime from now on.
