I have an Arsenal 107 CR
it is prepared to to have the barrel cut down as the front sight is mounted on the gas block
Do you guys know anybody who specializes in this type of work?
I’m in east Texas

I’ve gone blank on the name but there was a guy in Denton that specializes in ak’s. Bought some parts from him years ago and he knew his stuff. Think it could be jbi armory or something like that.

Just a thought, it's a lot cheaper and easier to put a stock on an AK pistol and turn it into an SBR than it is to cut down a rifle.

I can totally understand that but in my understanding thisrigle was made to be SBRd Ok, was not familiar with that model, had to look it up. And yes the SLR 107 CR is made to be easily SBR'd. After reading up on it, that looks easier than putting a stock on a AK Pistol, you could do that one yourself. Just make a square cut and use a crown cutter with a pilot by hand to clean it up. If you have a hacksaw the tools to face the muzzle will run you about $100 from Brownells.

If it's as simply as chopping the barrel I'd send it to Morgan at Class3machining.

If it's as simply as chopping the barrel I'd send it to Morgan at Class3machining. X2 $50 for barrel cut. Please do not take a hack saw to it. You'll regret it, SBR will normally be with you for life since it's a NFA item do it right the first time.
