Great idea and very handy. Like that it folds up.

Ingenious. Low to the ground, easy to lift by the head and pull up on to rack. A couple of rubber straps and you're on your way.

An unethical shot is one you take, that you know you shouldn't.

Don, I certainly understand the part about the deer getting heavier than they were 30 years ago. Looks like that will sure help in the handling/transporting aspect of the process.

Sidebuster, don't work to good. I've tried it on my Honda, has the effect of lifting the front when weighted down, to much counter weight. The way the Honda hitch is mounted to the rear axle it tries to rotate the axle. The front is much better to keep weight in front better steering.

Dalee, are you talking about a ATV or a side by side?

Agreed. also, when weighted down will try to rub on back tires when hitting bumps.

Sidebuster, A TV. I've even tried to weld some swivel wheels on the bottom to help on weight, that didn't work.

I don't like to lift anymore either. I'd rather push a button!

I put one on my Honda ATV and the axial would roll. I tried to use a tie down to keep it up and it ended up pulling the hitch off. I having sitting in the garage waiting for someone to fix it for me.

I just finished a beefy front receiver hitch for my old Mule.
Presently use it for pushing race cars but it's heavy enough to hold a carrier that would easily hold a deer or small pig.
The plan was for a hinged one that swings down so you can roll the load onto it and lift with a winch.
After seeing TX0303's bed mounted winch, that looks better/easier to do!

I always have the Kubota L35 with bucket if it's too heavy for the Mule.

I used an old 2" receiver from a totaled SUV after I cut the extra stuff off.

I attached it to 4 points of the frame with 5/16" bolts.

2x2 square tubing is overkill with 3/8" wall but it's not gonna bend pushing a 2500 pound dirt SportMod.
It has a piece of rubber bumper from a loading dock on front to absorb the little bumps.

Cheers,
