The 143 eldx is kicking my but in load development. Best group is around .6 MOA.
I loaded 12 rounds of the 140 Accubond in 4 groups of 3. Two groups under .6 with the best being .35 MOA.
This is the second time the Nosler accubond developed quickly. The groups on paper clearly open or close making it easy to read. I was thinking I might need to bed the rifle to get it to shoot under .5 MOA.
What guys do you find easiest to load and why?

Try seating the 143 ELD X deeper around 30-40 thousandths off of the lands.

Previous to the new trend of ultra long range, Nosler Ballistic Tips, Sierra Gamekings and Hornady's SSTs were considered long range hunting bullets. They are easy to load and less sensitive to seating depth. The old ones seem to strike the right balance. New ultra high BC bullets are a pain in the arse.

good question Like Scott says, go back to the 142 Sierra Matchking, been winning matches for a silly wrong time. Do as I say, not as I do. I jump off into ALL the new chit. I'd be happy with .36 unless I was shooting a full custom with a .5 guarantee I assume you are shooting a heavy 6.5 Creedmoor and bedding might be called for , does sound like you have it working pretty good so far. I did have allot of luck with the Berger Elite Hunter. I can bring you some to Jasons if you want to try a few groups. Love those Savages!!!

Ballistic tips and accubonds are very easy IME. They usually shoot same POI as well, given the same load.

The 143 eldx is kicking my but in load development. What specifically are you doing? Cartridge, powder, seating depth. etc? powder charges, powder variation, etc

H4350. New Hornady brass. .03 from the lans. Heavy sporter barrel. Savage action unbedded with a brake. 24 inch barrel. 6.5 creedmoor. I will say that this was the first load I tried to use a Chrono to help with load development. Magneto Sporter.
The Nosler accubond was easy to develop. 12 shots. 3 of the 4 were .86 or less. No sporter used.
The rifle will bang steel with precision hunter ammo out to 500 yards but I can’t get it as tight as I want with my hand loads yet.
My goal is a money gun. Cover shots with a dime at 100 yards, nichel at 200 yards and a quarter at 300. The Nosler got the 100 yards part already.
I was wondering from you personal experience, if you only had 12 rounds to develop a load, what bullet would you choose?

I think the node is at 41.7-.8. Which is about 2690-2712 FPS.
Gun seems to shoot well at 2666 too.
Have shot groups and have run Chrono increasing by .1 grain at a time.

Well, the 143 ELDX I would seat closer to the lands, touching or just off, about .005". With the 41.7 grains, that's a lighter load. So you are working on the low node, not the upper one about 2750 fps, maybe a little more. I would test in .3 grain increments until I found the sweet spot. IMO, 12 rounds is too few of rounds. Why only 12 rounds? The 143 ELDX will shoot fine. The other bullets you listed are simpler bullets to work with. Just keep playing with some loads. Quarter size groups (less than an inch) out of an unbedded factory Savage is asking a little much, IMO. That's 1/3 moa accuracy. I've seen some Savages shoot some one time tiny groups, but not all the time. I also do not test groups at 100 yards. 200 or 300 is best.

If you're shooting for groups, I wouldn't do it with the Magnetospeed attached. I'd worry about speed later after I found an accurate load.

Group size can be great one day and just so-so the next, even with everything done the same. I think one thing that aftermarket barrels buys you is day to day consistency. My Ruger 10/22 aftermarket barrel seems to shoot tiny groups every time.

May also try bedding it. It made a big difference in my savage, took 1.5 inch groups down to 1/2 that. Personally I think expecting 1/2 MOA out of a factory gun is a little optimistic. Sure it happens on occasion but its not the rule.

I just set the OAL to "mag-length" as this is as far as they will go. This actually puts me just off the lands. One is a box magazine, the other is AI

All this not a pure factory rifle. The action is all that is savage. It has a a shilen match select barrel, aftermarket machined lug and nut and a Boyd’s stock. The trigger is set a 2 pounds with the ability to go down to 1.5 pounds. After frustrating myself with the eldx, I needed to confirm the gun. I had only 12 cases left, so loaded up 4 groups of NAB and shot them with .36 MOA being the best. I will confirm that load at 100, 500 and 700 yards next time out. Then go back to the 143 eldx.
I do have two factory rifles that I believe are .5 MOA rifles.

Ah nice, I thought you were playing with a factory gun and expecting 1/2 moa or better min. Kind of what I plan on doing with my savage in the near future, but it is being my owner experiment along the way. I wanted to see how good it would do from them. Then I pillar bedded it and re-shot and have that mark. Then plan to do barrel swap and see how much better I can make it. Mine is a wood stock and the pillar bedding helped significantly.

If I had to pick one that is consistently the easiest to get shooting really tight it would be Sierra MK. Next would be a toss up between Nosler Accubonds and Ballistic Tips. I like the A Max pretty good too. Trying to consistently work up a load that will shoot 1/3 MOA in 12 shots is akin to reading tea leaves.

Ok. I didn’t start out trying to work up a load with 12 shots. I had shot numerous 143 eldx without finding that perfect load. I had 12 cases left and said let’s try these with a different bullet. After shooting the 12, all my brass would be once fired and I could tumble all at the same time. Trying to keep brass all a like.
I did guess at where the node would be and was close. Although not popular on this site, I usually try OCW method. I typically try to shoot over half of a cycle with each group being at least 4 rounds.
With my 28 Nosler, I shot a 5 3 round groups with all groups being together under 1 MOA. The best was in the ,3s. That later held at 300 yards. And rings steel at 1100 yards. That was the bergers 195 with retumbo. When I later got a Chrono, the es was below 20 and the deviation was small. I just went with .03 off the lands.
Why 15 shots? It was all I had. I traded a guy 15 180s elem for the 195s.
Some bullets are easier to load and develop. I’m still learning. I’m all YouTube and message board taught.
Thank you guys for the help.

Thanks to Chad and all the guys who gave suggestions with the creedmoor.
Moved closer to the lands, shot the groups at 300 yards and looked for the higher node.
Shot a .6 group at 300 yards with crazy wind on yesterday. No vertical shift.
Had a good going at 500 yards but decided to take the last round to 700 yards. The 700 yards was a dead center bullseye. Speed is running around 2760 by drop data. I’ll go back on a better wind day and do groups at 500 and 700 yards.
Thanks again alll!!!!!
