Wish I had a group to take this. I've been looking for something in Oklahoma.

Very pretty. Isn’t the deer season only like 10 days?

The rifle season is pretty short, like 2 weeks or so. For a bow hunter the season is plenty long. I think the rifle season coincides with the rut pretty well but for nonresident you buy the same $280 license for each season though.

If I get a group together from Texas, How many licences will we need to buy to be able to hunt each of the three seasons. I'm guessing 3, but I don't know so I am asking the question.
Cabin rental in Pagosa Springs, Co. Sleeps 10, If interested please PM me.

Each hunter will have to purchase an out of state hunting license. Tags for each season (bow, primitive, gun) will have to be purchased. Oklahoma ain't cheap for out of state hunters. Thank goodness my dad purchased a lifetime combo for me when we lived there, and its still viable as a Texas resident.

I believe it was $280 per season. My plan, when I find a place I can budget for is just archery and maybe buy tags for rifle if the urge hits. If I can't make at least half the dates for rifle or muzzle loader then I would just stick with archery. Good looking property and big enough to grow some brutes.

its one property split 7150 and 6550 acres. Plenty of room to put several hunters. Camping areas are available to park your RV. The lease will run from AUGUST 1st to July 31st each year. Good pipe gates surrounding the whole property. Good deer, turkey and hogs. Lots of predator hunting, Possibly bear in the area to hunt. This property is available for long term leasing. Be a good corporate lease also. Not far from town about 30 min. Lease is split or you can have it all. Lots of water year around running through the area, hard woods, pines really great cover, There has been I believe 8 state records come from this county. Property leases for 6.00 an acre half at lease signing, other half before August 1st.

I’ve been hunting in OK since 2002 and spent a small fortune on licenses, but in my opinion, the reward has been worth it the cost. I hunt in the NW part of the state, but some of the biggest bucks come out of the SE part.

the last eight states records I believe have come from this area. There are some really nice deer taken every year. Depending on what you prefer to hunt with. Archery season is the longest hunting season which runs from October 1 through January 15. There is also archery bear season you can hunt. Smoke pole is last nine days of October. Rifle runs from the Saturday before Thanksgiving for three weeks. There is a Holiday hunt the week after Christmas, also you have youth weekend/ There is spring and fall turkey, and then furbearer season and predator hunting, if you do that. There is several places to park RV or put a camper or tent up. There is a total of 13700 acres which the landowner will split into a 7150 and a 6550 lease if you don't want to take the whole thing. You could get several hunters to go in and lease what they wanted to but there would only be one person on the lease agreement if you want to do it that way and have one person manage it. I wanted to list them smaller but he would not let me. Leases will run from August 1 to July 31 each year and renewing the properties will be no problem. He is hoping to get someone to lease for a long term. The property is not far from Clayton, Oklahoma and about 30 miles or so from Antlers Oklahoma.
