Used to go out there all of the time now I rarely go to any range.
Anyone else use to like Backwoods and did you find someplace to replace it?

Friendly folks and it was never crowded. However, there are those who think a booming population is a good thing. That's not always the case though.
I just shoot on my own place now. I don't care for public ranges.

Loved that place. Went there weekly and sometimes daily when I was working up there. I now go to the place off Luna Rd

Yes, and good gosh I miss that place. Went nearly every Friday. Called it my blastin and castin day. When the firearms got put up, I fished their tank.

Yep it was awesome. If there is an inch of bare land around here someone thinks they need to build something on it and I absolutely hate that. No I am not pro growth in Texas and I think our leadership are morons for inviting all these companies here! Ask conservatives in Colorado how it is working out for them!

Yeah, I went there often. I mostly just shoot at the deer lease now.

In about 40 years highway 380 changed so much I though I was lost. I went to Greenville in 1971, and when I left I took 380 going west so I could skip the DFW mess. Beautiful drive wide open roads and very little traffic. In 2015 we drove that same route, I wouldn't have believed all of the houses and businesses that have filled that area if I had not seen it.

Went there when I was younger with my father. It was one of the good ones. Now I live in North Frisco wishing I didn't have to drive two hours to East Texas just to have the same experience. Grinds my gears with the circumstances under which it was closed.

Went there all the time when I lived in Oak Point. He processed my deer, mounted by two bucks, shot a bunch of ammo, and fished that pond.
coffee spelled backwards is eeffoc. I don't give eeffoc until I have my morning coffee.
