When you so called duck hunters on here actually go hunting in the low teens to actually below 0 you will go buy the good stuff. Only did that about 8-10 times this year. Can I be a duck hunter now?

Just add layers I use old x mas cashmere sweaters from TJ Max full of holes, that stuff is perfect for it.

Army issued polypros under cabela waders with a drake est or mst jacket, depending on temp. Never been cold or wet. Sitka has some new waders for $950, some people have more money than sense.

Personally I stick with waxed canvas clothing, goes well with my Purdey and wood decoys.

I made the mistake of buying a drake jacket and I got a free drake blind bag. The zipper on both has been shot since about 3 hunts in. The drake jacket looks and breathes like a rain jacket except you'd stay more dry not wearing it

I know you probably thought I was being a Smart arse but I wasn't. My wife bought me a jacket from walmart 4 or 5 years ago. That is all I wear other than layers under it according to the cold. Its a cheap $19.95 cloth jacket with a zipper front and a hoodie. The left front pocket is torn so now its a flap. In every one of my boats I have a rain slicker. If it rains I put the slicker on. Done. I give anyone here permission to beat the living tar out of me if I EVER spend $500 on a jacket.

Head north to Kansas or further and you will want waterproof and windproof. I've tried multiple brands and prefer Drake or Sitka. I don't have any Banded stuff (mainly because i'm not a flat bill kind of guy) but it looks well made. Yes Sitka is expensive but you can find it on sale, and it's generally worth it.
From a color standpoint, I think the most versatile patterns are the darker camo patterns like bottomland or optifade timber. I favor the darker stuff because the minute you step into any timber or wooded area with your shadow grass on, you look like big bird sitting in the woods with all the yellow. Having hunted grain fields for ducks or geese (or hunting on the edge of a tank) as well as flooded timber, you are generally in a layout or a pit blind so camo is less important.
I like to plan for the long term and have both at my disposal. I like to travel some and will pack accordingly, but if I could only have one it would be darker camo and not the yellow stuff.
