Unfortunately, no animals were harmed in the making of this video, but if you interested to see what hogs did to the yard that took me years to grow then check out the video.... I'm fit to be tied!! Is this Karma??

That sucks. Time to put up a fence on the part of the yard you want to stay nice that or build a moat with big gators so they can eat the hogs when they fall in haha.

I know just how you feel. I left our gate open one night and they came right up the driveway and did the same kind of damage. Not to mention the fact that I can barely drive across our pastures. To say that I hate hogs is,putting it mildly.
In the end, it's not the years in your life that count, it's the life in your years.

"Vengeance is Mine" sayeth the Lord. I think you may deserve a little yourself. I hate feral hogs almost as much as I hate coyotes. Sic 'em Hans.

As there are two types of people that live in the Texas countryside, you can now change your status on FB from "going to have hog problems" to "has hog problems."
You built a house in hog habitat and are surrounded by hog habitat. You grew a beautiful lawn that is, err, was full of grubs and other tasty subterranean bugs. You don't have any fencing to keep hogs out. Basically, it is like you left an unattended open bottle of Johnny Walker and a case of beer in the middle of the Skid Row where anybody had access to it. The result was inevitable. That the destruction was so extensive is very unfortunate. That just plain sucks.
You can go out and shoot some hogs out of revenge and work on patrolling your own homestead, but you can't really guard your own place and other people's places at the same time. Until you do the Trump thing and build a wall (fence), it will happen again and will keep happening. Revenge hunting isn't going to solve your problem. It will probably make you feel better, until they hit you again, but it won't solve your problem.
My neighbor in Forestburg fenced his 7 acre yard with cattle panels. Has only had one hog problem in 14 years and that was while the fence was still being built. Hogs hit all around his place over the years, but nothing inside the 7 acres. The deer come into feed just fine.

Terrible loss, man, especially given the fact that you've worked so hard and invested so much money in getting the yard "just right!" Revenge is sweet. . .

Good lord... man I feel for you. I have to agree though, you won't shoot your way out of this. It is interesting there doesn't appear to be any damage outside of that raised area, which I'd say is probably rich in grubs and the like. I'm dealing with city hogs (moles). I'd at least start with lots of spraying for bugs/grubs which is not expensive and start. I would then get going with a fence as suggested.
Good luck to you.

Good luck to you. Yes, I need to spray for worms. I really don't want to put up a fencing..

I've heard of people spray for grubs and I need to do that. You're right, it is inevitable, I've been lucky for a long time. The problem is that we have too much land to fence completely and I could fence my immediate yard area but that takes away some of the pleasure of living in the country and having open space. I'll just have to fix it and religiously spray for grubs...

You need a texting camera on your yard so you can wake up and take care of the problem

Given they're dang near knocking on your front door, you could clearly control delivery. That's right, then you can follow each one of them around until they die then rent a backhoe and bury them 5 feet deep as required and so on until they are all dead. But that shouldn't take log because they will learn quick that the stuff is toxic and go right back to tearing up your yard as the $1000 feeder and $500 worth of toxic feed needs to be disposed of somehow. Brilliant.

Brilliant. Ok, great, we have an expert on the topic! Why would they have to be buried 5ft under ground? (I think you're confusing this with sodium monofluoroacetate) Where have they proven hogs would be able to ID it and avoid it? Where is the pricing info you referenced? I'll also add I don't think this will make it either, particularly in Texas as there is some evidence it could impact Whitetail as well.

I’ve always said if you could train a hog to root a straight line you wouldn’t need a tractor.
Sorry to see they got ya like that.

Hate to see it happen to you. There are some driveway alerts that will detect animals. Hope you can catch up to them.
