I know I May get some feedback that isn’t specific to the question, but it is better than the nonsense on Facebook forums(hopefully).
So my dad has joined me hunting after 50 years of non hunting and we are going after some birds he has always wanted to shoot. Is there really any place in North Texas that you have a decent shoot at getting some Ruddy’s. I know they aren’t plumed out but still some neat little ducks. By the way he is 75 now and grew up on Lavon hunting.

I could drop you a pin, but it wouldn't be worth the drive... There is a group of 4-6 in one of the big open holes that we hunt and they have been there since day 1.

I should have also said looking for next season. Unfortunately after tomorrow I will be done for the season. Have commitments for next weekend.
Keep the help coming. I’m gonna compile a list of what he wants a crack at. I know Ruddy’s and some Buffleheads(can get a shot at them on Tawakoni or Fork) along with a woodie then some geese. I will be doing some traveling next season.

If you want to travel you can take him to lake catahoula in Louisiana. It’s 36k acres of 100% public and it has a healthy population of ruddy ducks. The locals don’t typically shoot them. It would not be hard to find them
